It's a wonder how you draw! :)

So many of these cityscapes are flat. Your use of shadow and colour make this image look three-dimensional. Very nice indeed. Thank you.

Absolutely agree with lollipop, what a great drawing. Amazing what you can do with just a few colors and the limitations of the canvas. Great job and another fine wake up puzzle. Thank you!

Also agree with Lollipop. And Kim. I had a friend who came back from visiting in New York City with a stiff neck from looking up at all the tall buildings.

thank you, lollipop! I really tried to create depth using color and dark spaces to indicate shadow. I have to mention a puzzle on this site that I solved recently - I can't remember who did it - it's a picture of the golden gate bridge and it's unbelievably good. It was kind of an inspiration for me to try city scenes.

It might be nice to see a city this size from the train but I don't think I would like to be in the middle of it. Another great puzzle!

hi susan - thank you for solving my puzzle :-). I did live in a very large city as a child, but have since acclimated to much smaller living. from the train, Chicago seemed innocuous, but waiting at the train station, which was a city in itself, was really overwhelming. and then to go outside - I was just amazed at the numbers of people, cars, etc.

tom - thank you for solving my puzzle, also. do you still live there? I do think the skyline is beautiful with the water right there. that's the one thing land-locked Colorado lacks- a large body of water. there's plenty of white water, but it would be nice to have a large lake and boating within my city.

I lived on the other side of Lake Michigan for 7 years. Very beautiful, plus we got all the lake effects snow. Yay, shoveling. /sarcasm

where Kristen...Benton harbor, St. Joe, Lake Michigan beach?

Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. We weren't ON the water, just within the snow band.
