91 predicted for today which is a lot better than it has been. At least the nights are cooling down. I'll be dreaming of your steak while I eat leftovers. Oh, well.:)

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.
#12: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Sep 29, 2013 [HINT]
After I ran out of line logic, I looked at the 5 and 4 in columns 4 and 5 respectively.

Each crosses a block of two in r10-11. Now in row 9, there is a 1 clue, which means one of the two could go up, but *both* cannot. That means at least one of the 5 or 4 must go down into r12. So r12c4-5 must be black (because of the 2 clue in that row).

Then line logic to finish.

exactamundo...thanks Joe!

other than LL, here was my only advanced move:

whether C5R8 or C5R12 is black, C4R12 is black

fun solve kurt! nice image!

After LL, I danced around a whole bunch of things narrowing down where one or two pixels at a time could be placed. I couldn't find what I was missing that would really set the rest in motion. This puzzle was a tough little nugget. I read the hints and Joe's hint actually helped me find the same thing David B. found. Go figure. Whatever works, right? After that, because of how I chipped away at it, it just solved itself.
