fun solve! and your title makes me think of ella fitzgerald.
#2: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 17, 2013
Yes, and it's not brown and yellow. Nice!
#3: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
Thx Linda, are you an Ella fan? She was a wonderful singer.:)
#4: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
Thx Norma, again it was hard to make this look like a wicker basket in a 20x20,I hope it looks reasonably recognizable.:)
#5: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 18, 2013
Excuse me Aldege, I need some explanation. I can't find "tisket" and "tasket" words in my online vocabulary. Is it an American idiom? :)
#6: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 18, 2013
I found this lyrics of E.F song but I don't understand what's about it :)

I don't like to try your link. I don't like to converse with You.
I asked some explanation from a Canadian fellow. OK? :)

#10: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
I'm sorry Thomas,I don't really know what a tisket a tasket is,Norma was just trying to help, perhaps you should try to not hold a grudge and check out her link,or wait and see if someone else offers an explanation. I'm familiar with the song but I don't really know what it means.:)
#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
Thx for trying to help Norma.:)
#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 18, 2013
YW Aldege.
#13: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Sep 18, 2013
good solve and image aldege :)
#14: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Sep 18, 2013
It's just a link, Thomas. It won't hurt you. "A tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket" is a nonsense rhyming game. Tasket was invented to rhyme with Basket.
#15: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
Thx Travis.:)
#16: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 18, 2013
Thx Kristen.:)

hi aldege - I am a huge ella fan. all music, really. and I am loving this children's book series - I think it's a lovely way to honor the special books in your child's collection. it would be really cool if she could look back on this series of puzzles some day...although who knows what kind of technology she'll be using then?

#19: annalivia (annalivia) on Sep 19, 2013
it's a great-looking wicker basket. with a bit of imagination one can see yellow and green ribbons twining through the wicker.

and Ella is... well, Ella :-)
#20: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Sep 19, 2013
They don't call her The Divine Miss Ella for nothing!
#21: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 19, 2013
Thx Linda,I'm glad your enjoying them,I'm having a great time making them. I'm sure Destyny will enjoy looking at these someday regardless of the technology. I'm hoping to get her into making puzzles when she's a little older. Who knows maybe the day will come when she'll make puzzles of her old dad. That will be cool, lol. I guess were all Ella fans. I'm interested in knowing if you,Annalivia, and Kristen are also Holly Cole fans.:)
#22: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 19, 2013
Thx Annalivia.:)
#23: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 20, 2013
I'm not a fan of her... I like when she was singing, but don't understand not a word, because her prenouncation is so American and the titles contain unknown words! :)

Aldege, at this time You are the best PBN creator, because the biggest one, Joe "Paint-it-Black" Vegh (SK) has died almost 5 year ago... His puzzles were more exciting than yours, but now you're the King. (especially your realistic vehicle puzzles) :))
#24: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Sep 20, 2013
I had never heard of Holly Cole, so I went straight to Youtube and listened to a compilation of her songs. What an incredible voice! It's smooth as velvet. Her rendition of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" started to make me yearn for winter, which can be beautiful here in Colorado. Now my very favorite musicians are and will forever be Steely Dan. Any Dan fans out there? :-)
#25: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 20, 2013
A big Steely Dab fan.
#26: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 20, 2013
Thomas, thank you very much for the nice compliment. I've never seen Joe's puzzles. I tried to search for them, but can't seem to find them. I don't know that I'm the King, but I have made the most puzzles. There are a lot of great creators here on this site that are more accomplished than I am,however I will say that I am somewhat consistent. I'm glad you enjoy my vehicle puzzles,I think I have the most fun making those.:)
#27: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 20, 2013
Linda,I'm glad I introduced you to Holly Cole and that you enjoyed her singing. My favourite stuff of hers is from her original Holly Cole Trio albums, especially "Don't Smoke in Bed". My favourite track on that CD is her rendition of "I can see clearly now",the stand up bass in that is awesome and so is her voice. It is the song I use to evaluate high end audio equipment with, either for myself,or helping others choose equipment to purchase.

I am a huge Steely Dan fan, especially their Aja album. They are not only a great band, but incredible musicians. I need to ask you now if your familiar with Alan Parsons Project,"Tales of Mystery and Imagination" in particular. If not you might want to check it out. Like Steely Dan,their music is more involved and I'll dare say more intellectual. I hope I don't offend some people by saying this. Norma,I'm sure you might enjoy them also. Please let me know what you think.:)
#28: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 20, 2013
Aldege,
I'm very sorry, but Joe was his given name. Originally he was Zoltán Végh. Here You can find Joe-Zoltan's memorial page.

Unfortunately it's in Slovakian language. (you can use a translation robot or I can help)
#29: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 20, 2013
The name Alan Parsons sounds familiar, but when I listened I didn't recognize anything, but my computer speakers are terrible and I give up easily. My son was my music mentor. He was an electronics geek and we used to go to the electronic grave yards and buy boxes of mostly useless stuff for practically nothing and he would build all kinds of things, including a computer. He also enhanced my sound system to where it was wonderful. Sadly, he died and my interest in music died with him. The final nail in the coffin was when my house was broken into and all that equipment was stolen.
#30: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 20, 2013
I offer this site about him and his innovative puzzles, too.

#31: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 20, 2013
Norma,I am so sorry for your loss, however I think your son would love it still,if you somehow were able to reconnect with your love of music. I realize this is easier said than done, but I hope someday you will be able too.:)
#32: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 20, 2013
Thank you, Aldege.
#33: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Sep 21, 2013
I am more convinced than ever that Thomas is a lurker...has been on this site as another entity (or entities)...and is playing us all. That is the last I'm going to say on this subject, other than I will avoid him at every turn.

I enjoyed this solve, Aldege, thank you! My mother is in the intensive care unit, has been for a week and faces a long recovery road. Though that and other responsibilities/obligations keep me hopping, I come here when I can for diversion. I love and appreciate you all. You make a difference in my life in such a positive, good way lol!
#34: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 21, 2013
Thank you JoDeen,I'm sure all of us creators appreciate, your appreciation, lol. There's no nicer compliment that a person can receive than to be told that they make a positive difference in someone's life. As for Thomas,I've wondered about this myself and even though he just gave me a nice complement, because of past comments I can't be sure if it's sincere or if I'm being played. Therefore,I think I may do as you.Thx once again, and please wish your mother all the best through her recovery, from Destyny and Aldège.:)
#35: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Sep 21, 2013
I'm on my way over right now...just had to check the site since it was already up on the computer. I thought I was going to get the chance to work on another puzzle for a bit. No such luck, My phone keeps ringing. Sigh. Thanks for the well wishes Aldege...and thanks from me to your little Destyny, too!
#36: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 21, 2013
JoDeen, I, too, hope your mother has a quick recovery.

I felt Thomas to be an arrogant fraud early on. I hate the mean comments he has made to beginners, particularly young ones.
#37: Jan Wolter (jan) on Sep 21, 2013
I've found over the years that not all people who appear sweet are sweet, and not all people who appear sour are sour. People are complex creatures, and one should never imagine that what they show of themselves on-line is all there is, or even enough to base a judgement on. It's never the whole story.

The article about Zoltan Vegh's puzzle implies that he is the inventor of triddlers and triangle puzzles. Is that right? I'm not really fond of triangle puzzles - they aren't logically any different than normal puzzles, but I like triddlers.

I'm a big Holly Cole fan. My favorite album is "Temptation".
#38: Jan Wolter (jan) on Sep 21, 2013
The hexagon puzzle shown on the page linked to is interesting because the clue seem to be incomplete. The central column, for example, would normally be clued "3 2 1" but just the "3" and "1" clues are given.
#39: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 21, 2013
I have to agree with you Jan about people and their personalities, however I've been fooled by someone here before as some of the regulares here are aware of and they were fooled by the same person. Therefore I'll play it safe and not engage in comments with Thomas any further. As for what you said about Zoltan, does this mean that I truly am The King.lol. Just kidding gang,I'm content to be Emperor Aldège,King of Choletteville. A title given to me by our good friend Sgusa. Now if I could just win one of his ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AWARDS,then I would be a happy man. In my opinion you Jan are THE KING.:)
#40: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 21, 2013
Aldege, I am one of your loyal subjects in Aldege. Not only am I a fan of your puzzles, I am a fan of your love for your family.
#41: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Sep 21, 2013
Ditto Norma's #40 comment. I love solving your puzzles, Aldege. And I find it heartwarming how you include your little daughter in your puzzles.

Norma - I sincerely hope your mother makes a quick recovery.

#42: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Sep 21, 2013
Am going to Youtube now to check out Alan Parsons Project.
#43: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 21, 2013
Thx Norma,I'm a big fan of your puzzles as well and I enjoy sharing my love for my family with my friends.:)
#44: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 21, 2013
Thx Linda and we all love your puzzles, and your sense of humour. Destyny makes for a great subject for making puzzles. Hope you enjoy Alan Parsons Project.:)
#45: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Sep 21, 2013
And so it's 9/21/13 5:14pm Mountain Time and I'm listening to "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You". I like the Alan Parsons Project.
#46: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Sep 21, 2013
Thx Linda,I thought you might.:)
#47: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Sep 22, 2013
Am I a lurker (entity)? (in a special religion it would mean I'm a God (or angel or devil or ghost) :) When I read this, went to my wall mirror and watched myself. I must say: NO, I'm not! :)
#48: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Sep 23, 2013
I'd forgotten what the puzzle was by the time I got to the end of these comments. -- It was a nice solve.

@ Jan #38 - The hexagonal puzzle's clues seem to show the length of the closest bunch of pixels. The column that only has one bunch of four has a 4 clue on both ends. It would add a layer of complexity in solving, but creating ones without ambiguity would certainly require more effort.

This reminds me of a puzzle called skyscrapers , I think, where you only get the height of the tallest building you can see from each direction.
