good one, Brian! at first I thought it was going to be a real tree. I'd not heard of the term 'shade tree mechanic' before.#2: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Aug 25, 2013

Another cool car,boy I'm getting my car and truck fix lately, thx Brian. Shade tree mechanic is an old term for guys who work on their own cars or others cars. They didn't have a garage to work in so they parked the car under a tree for shade to keep themselves cool.:)#5: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Aug 25, 2013 [HINT]
Another blot succumbs to summing.#6: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Aug 25, 2013
After line and color logic,
Edge logic on the 3 in r6 makes c5-6 white. Then line logic finishes the left side.
Now some summing:
The horizontal clues say that we need exactly eight more green pixels.
The vertical clues say we need six more (and three blots).
Therefore, two pixels must be in the blot clues. Or, stated differently, no blot clue can be extended more than two pixels.
That means that c16r4-6 and c17r4-5 can be marked white.
Then LL to finish.
Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.#7: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Aug 25, 2013 [SPOILER]
No comments on the "plumber's crack"??? What do I have to do, have this guy come to your house and fix your refrigerator?#8: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Sep 2, 2013
