a play on words, as what you see is the forward V berth in my boat. books are on the shelf, a sun hat on the hatch into the chain locker, a locker under the berth. the ship's clock, which chimes eight bells, the starboard settee with a small table that drops down to stow.

it's definitely interesting, Aldege. one of the best things about it is that you can travel to different places and not have to pack.... you have everything with you already. it is a zen kind of thing... one learns that 'things' aren't as necessary as experiences. it only took my husband 20 years to talk me into it. :-) truly, tho', the very best thing about it is to have a chance to meet people in their own country... on their ground...on a more longterm basis than a 2 week vacation... to see, and hopefully understand a little better, the world outside the mindset we each grow up with. no matter where we might have grown up.

I envy what you are experiencing so much. May the winds always be at your back.
