See, without being condescending about it, you could post a photo of the actual building. I just posted a photo, but you could find a web page that gives information about it.
I don't expect anyone outside of Alabama to recognize Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, but it's an important site that harkens to Birmingham's history as a steel town, and it's an important landmark for the city.
The point is that you can share your favorite buildings and teach people about them, without being an ass because no one guesses from a few pixels what they are.
