Ah, my Toby was a cat.

You know, when this site was new and people posted amazing puzzles like this, I used to worry that they'd been cribbed from some book of puzzles, but now I've gotten used to the fact that we've got people here who are perfectly capable of making puzzles as good or better than anything in any book.

This is a very nice small puzzle. I think people who haven't tried making some themselves tend to underestimate how hard this is to do so well.

I'm so glad that you posted your comment Jan. It inspired me to look over Lucilla's body of work. I discovered that out of her 15 posted puzzles that I have solved only 5!

I've been very impressed by all of Lucilla's puzzles. Her last posted puzzle, #2251: Aloha is stunning.

Cute. Didn't everybody have a dog named Toby? We did.

Ours was a guinea pig. But his name was spelled Tobi.

Easy solve

Took me a bit to see it. Thought it was a shadow puppet at first. Very neat once seen.
