John Wayne's b-day today....born in 1907, if you knew it. As "marion". no wonder he changed his name ;)

I'm not a nut for John Wayne, but I did do a trivia night tonight...Believe it or not, the question came up! Generally, I'll look up "born on this day", "died on this day", and "on this day in history" before I go to a trivia night. Only reason I knew the fun fact for tonight...

The Duke ruled back then.

Thx gang. I agree that The Duke ruled,especially for his swagger and tough guy persona,but in this film he showed a romantic side of him as well. However Joan stoled the show as far as acting was concerned in this film. She was great.:)

I know my image here may be a little hard to decipher,but I really wanted to see if I could capture it in a 20x20. I also wanted to keep it B&W to go with my title,but I just couldn't get it solvable. I hope you can see the pose of Joan and John embraced,with her looking at you,and him holding her with his one eye covered by her hair and his lips kissing her left cheek. I know it means it's a poor image if you have to explain,but I feel compelled to for some who may not get it.:)
