Yowza. That was hard! Not because there were bottlenecks, but because my eyes got tired.

THis is a really good one. It was worth doing again.

I can tell this is going to be a nice design, but my computer is really complaining. Everytime it sees a 'mistake' it locks up. Only problem is, it considers scrolling through one color to get to another color a mistake. I'm pretty frustrated.
#4: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jun 23, 2006
Yeah. On a few puzzles, like this you have to turn off error checking by unchecking the little checkbox under the puzzle. You get no more red-dots if you do that and no more lock ups.

Actually, they aren't lock-ups. If you wait long enough, the computer will come back. It tends to happen with lines where there are lots of small numbers, and lots of slack, and an error at the far right. The error checker is working it's way through every possible arrangement of the small bits in hopes of finding one that will work. This is all an artifact of the regular expression checking. Unfortunately, Javascript does not allow any way to put a time limit on regular expression checking. The language doesn't support interupts. I haven't been able to figure out a fix other than turning off error checking entirely.

Someday I hope to add at least a way to mark a puzzle so it warns you that you should turn off error checking.

Really nice! Does work a lot better with error checker turned off.

Castaway aliens converted them into starships and flew away home in them.
