About 50% of people with dachshunds have a dachshund named Oscar.#9: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 18, 2013
"My dachshund has a second name; it's M-A-Y-E-R..."
I think this one might be related to Snoopy.
definitely, Joe... original version I got to solve almost got published til I noticed it looked exactly like Snoopy at the head. just to elongate the nose a little took a quite a bit more playing around to make solve without look-ahead, and it still looks like Snoopy's cousin. lol#10: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 18, 2013 [SPOILER]
didn't realize it til now, but I had OM hot dogs for lunch... :) funny how the mind works subliminally. I don't even like hot dogs.
This is actually quite a good likeness to miniature dachshunds. The chest particularly. He obviously has the way-too-short legs of the way-too-short-leg variety. I'm just waiting until someone gets the brilliant idea to cross breed them with some pugs so they can also have too-squashed faces. Then, just dock the tails...#11: Norma Dee (norm0908) on May 18, 2013
Regular mini-dachshunds are quite cute. We used to pet-sit one for winters. One defining thing about their shape is a very low forehead. (Breeders can't let them have too much room for a brain, or they might take over the world.) As it is, their brains are only big enough for one thing at a time: face recognition or bladder control, choose one.
Interesting and funny, Joe.:)#12: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 18, 2013
hahahaha!#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on May 18, 2013

got Nathan's?#15: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on May 19, 2013 [SPOILER]
Doggone D-lightful puzzle, Kurt! ...and Joe, you are too funny! He only looks like Snoopy because of his nose. Eliminate those two pixels and Snoopy goes bye-bye. Personally, I think he looks perfect just the way you made him! Thanks for allowing me to have such a satisfying start to my day.#16: Alison P Deem (Indigo1) on May 19, 2013 [SPOILER]
I like mine with mustard and onion...super cute!#17: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 19, 2013
