My refuge is my outdoor garden. I baby my flowers and plants and cannot be trusted with a credit card in a nursery. But I cannot keep an indoor plant going for love or money.

I too have a knack for turning green things into brown things rather quickly sometimes.

Al's right....people have a tendency to overwater indoor potted plants. all in all, more things die from overwatering than under. stick your finger in the media to check for moisture....soils are alive and roots need to breathe. you want 50% air, 50% water in the pore space. a plant hurt from too much water will turn a sickly yellow before it kicks it

good one norma...the right one looks like charlie browns christmas tree :( i dug up a rose bush because i wanted to split it..i took a circular saw to the roots and made 3 bushes (all are thriving) :)
#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on May 11, 2013
Thanks, Travis. Good job with your rose bushes. Hope they continue to thrive.

I use to split my perennials every year to expand my garden,or to give some to friends for their gardens, but I just used a shovel to split them. Somehow a circular saw sounds cruel and painful Travis, lol.:)
