As far as I'm concerned, indigo doesn't belong in a rainbow. I think it was only added so Roy G. Biv would work as a mnemonic, :P

I'm going to agree with Kristen... the rainbow doesn't work with an uneven number of colors! "Indigo" is just the blending of blue and violet, as far as I'm concerned...
