Puzzle Description:

Medieval Statue of a knight holding his sword. One of my favorite knight statues. Had to color the sword and hilt or it would not have a unique solutions. Constructive comments please. I am trying to get better and need to know ways to improve.

only cuz you asked for it.....

1) avoid symmetry
2) make it solvable...this one is, with the notation of symmetry and use of advanced logic, but not with logic alone.
3)it's an overall simple image here...why does it need to be so big of a puzzle if you're not giving detail?
4)make it fun to solve....
5)don't just check to see if it's unique--- solve it yourself before you publish. you'll see different things to make it better or find flaws.

I'll cite another knight puzzle as an example of all above---check out puzzle #19980(my own). smaller puzzle, much more detail, better solve

Thanks Kurt. I am still trying to get the hang of designing good puzzles. Still a ways to go.

try playing around with smaller sizes(like 15x15)....it'll force you to be creative to make something recognizable with few pixels. great exercise for getting better as a creator....
