newspaper printing press...

it can't be tp, cuz everyone knows tp should go UNDER and around instead of over the top....lol It's the age-old debate since caveman times. Aristotle taught this to Plato and so on down the line....

Looks like the latter to me with the toilet plunger right there to finish the job. Over the top is my vote.

Well done Al! At first I thought you were playing "Perinola" , don't know the word in english. http://cuidadoinfantil.net/la-perinola-2.html
@ Kurt DEFINITELY over!
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Mar 28, 2013
Sometimes called a whirligig, Jota. And you're right. It could be that.

So far it looks like you are going to be outvoted, Kurt. lol
#11: Jota (jota) on Mar 28, 2013
Thanks Norma, I searched for whirligig but couldn't match the two items.
#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Mar 28, 2013
Jota, I don't know what browser you are using, but if I come across a foreign word or phrase I don't know I go to Google and say translate ******* into English and it does it. Or it will take an English word and translate it into another language.
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Mar 28, 2013
Thx Jota,I am not familiar with this. How do you play it?:)
#14: Jota (jota) on Mar 28, 2013
It's a stick held thru a cord to the top piece, you hold the stick on one hand and try to place the top part on the stick. It's not easy, but lots of fun.

So it's like the opposite of cup-and-ball http://www.google.com/search?q=cup+and+ball

In fact, the wikipedia about cup-and-ball shows a picture of a perinola - which is odd as there's no ball in a perinola.

When I looked up "toy perinola" most of the links called it a whirligig - which is also odd as it doesn't spin either.

Oh, and as to the raging debate - having cats, it must go under so they don't drag it all off.

Another kind of whirligig:

Funny!

Joe, it's exactly the opposite of cup and ball!
The picture of a "perinola" in Wikipedia goes to show that "everything" you see on the internet is "true" ;-)

Odd. I vote for toilet paper.
