Actually, it's not hard to stop - it's stopping safely and painlessly that takes some practice.

Fun puzzle.

My brothers made stilts when they were teens and I was still an adolescent. I remember how much fun it was, and how hard it was to control. You could only stop for a few seconds before gravity would take over. :-D

Rather than trying to stop completely, it is much easier to "stop" by taking a small step forward and together, then a small step back and together, so you're fidgeting in place. That lets you compensate easily for gravity.

I bet stopping for me would be no problem(as I fall face first to the ground)...I just doubt I'd ever be able to "start"... lol
