I am having an issue with the color of a clue number rendering correctly. For instance, the hover text of a number may say "red" but the clue number itself displays in black instead of red. I am using IE8. Note, I experienced the same issue several months ago while using IE 7, but the problem eventually corrected itself. Is this possibly a problem with either IE8, or my computer? Has anybody else experienced the same issue?#2: Mark (mark.jeronimus) on Oct 3, 2010
Try clearing yhour browser cache.#3: Kit E. Katz (hello) on Jun 22, 2011
If that doesn't work then it might also be an IE script bug. As stated on the FAQ, for different browsers there are different scripts, and IE is the least compatible browser of them all.
I occasionally have this problem. Clues that should be black are showing up as blue and green recently. I have had this happen in the past and maybe it lasts only one or two days. It's been occuring off and on for the last 3 days.#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 23, 2011
What browser are you using, Kit? I use Chrome and have no problems with that one.#5: Kit E. Katz (hello) on Jun 23, 2011
Funny, after I posted this, the problem disappeared. But you think it is a hiccup with the browser? I see in commment 2 he mentions an incompatability with IE?#6: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 24, 2011
I've heard about the alternative browsers (firefox, mozilla, etc), but the thought of changing to one of them puts me ill at ease. I keep running across ads for Chrome but am not sure what to think.
You can still keep IE and use it any time you want. Downloading Chrome is easy and safe. I use IE for work stuff, and Chrome of webpbn and game stuff, except for a few that work better on IE. www.google.com/chrome#7: Jan Wolter (jan) on Oct 22, 2011
I don't understand the clue color thing. If it happens again, try clearing the browser's cache.
The information about IE is obsolete. IE version 9 is an honest-to-gosh good browser. Microsoft actually decided to comply with standards and did a fine job of it. All previous versions of IE stink, and are going to start stinking much worse very soon as all the world's web developers stop trying to work around all their bugs, thinking IE users should just upgrade to IE 9.
