I don't think you can state "assume symmetry" unless the image really is symmetrical. It has a symmetrical look about it, but it is obviously not symmetrical. Fun to solve though.
Craig, I'll try to send you some of our Arizona sunshine, but I haven't seen the sun all day. Maybe it's on its way. Till it gets there, try to find someone to keep warm with. :-)
