#5: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
Well, I thought of Trojan Horse, so I was close. I like this image, sort of a fat zebra with his legs bound.

thanks, JL!
#7: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
Of course it's Troy, especially with it being so fresh in his mind recently after posting it as a guess just the other day.

#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 13, 2013
Yay I finally guessed one. What do I win Kurt?
#12: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 13, 2013
idk...I bet I could fabricate a monkey-dung something or other for ya! even put a shine on it...ever watch "Mythbusters" on Discovery channel? that was one of their myths on the show, and they actually proved that they could indeed polish a turd. how funny is that?!
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 14, 2013
Yes I have watched that Kurt. That's funny,I always remember that line from the movie "Christine" where the old guy that owned the garage said that "you can't polish a turd" A polished monkey dung trophy would sit proudly on the mantle I don't have.lol.:)
#14: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jan 15, 2013
I remember polishing (technically "burnishing") a clay bowl using just a spoon, if it works for clay, it should work for dung!
#15: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 15, 2013
Aldege, you should check your island for dung beetles. They roll dung into nice neat little balls which would be good for all kind of things.

Norma has the right idea (except I don't think you'll find any in Canada). The elephant dung was much more easily and better polished than the lion dung on that Mythbusters. It was more solid and certainly didn't smell as much.

Dung beetles make their balls with elephant dung because it is hardly digested and still has lots of goodies in it. They can separate and bury an elephant's droppings in only a few hours. This is a good thing, otherwise the savannah would be drowning in elephant poo. They eat 350lb of vegetation a day.

Dung beetles are featured in Disney's Animal Kingdom attraction "It's Tough To Be A Bug"...it's a 3-D experience. The song goes something like..."you're very lucky that we like the taste or else you'd be wallowing in mile-high waste..." lol

I had no idea you could polish dung. At Rafiki's Planet Watch in Animal Kingdom I love to watch the kid's expressions when they are told what they have in their hands is elephant poo...it's shellacked, though it looks polished lol!
