Puzzle Description:

A little personal test of my skills to see how recognizable I made this famous sex symbol.

No guessing involved,it's remarkably recognizable. One of the best,if not the best Marilyn Monroe I've seen here. Great job Michelle.:)

Thank you so much Aldege :)I'm glad you enjoyed it.

fantastic image!

not to take anything away from it, cuz the pic is truly awesome! and the colors def add to the image, but they're unnecessary. it's still a great image without em... and without em, you could easily crop 10 off both the height and width and keep the integrity of your pic. it says more to do this kind of detail in a smaller grid. a lot of people steer clear of the big ones.... do as you please and keep having fun doing it, but you'll get more solvers and henceforth more comments and compliments if you did(and who doesn't love compliments?) :)

Kurt is right in a way Michelle, however I believe that sometimes we have to make puzzles for our own enjoyment, and I'm sure you were very happy with the image of this puzzle. Your obviously a very talented creator. I would leave this one alone and then in the future make some as Kurt suggested and make some strictly from what your vision portrays. There will always be people who will enjoy them and you will have a ton of fun creating. Please make more Michelle.:)

No offense Kurt buddy, but I don't shy away from larger or coloured puzzles. Sometimes I make them just cause I would like to share a thought or image that I think is cool. I hope that someone will at least peek. If they comment that's great. Sometimes I get selfish and I make them more for my own enjoyment, and pay little attention to what others think. An example is my 99x99 that I made of the New Brunswick flag. I mostly made that for myself, another example is the recent one I made,12th 20x20...song and artist. I knew that was an easy, symmetrical, and poor image, but I just wanted to try to make people aware of this band. :)

righto, Al! I agree whole-heartedly with ya.... glad ya did the flag too. it was cool! (I peeked, lol)

there are a couple obvious things I neglected to mention.... I'll let someone else who tried to solve say it though. Michelle, you have great artistic talent!

Aldege, are you telling us you actually solved this puzzle? That doesn't seem like you. :-) After all, you did write: "No guessing involved."

I think Aldege was referring to the title and not guessing was necessary because the image is very recognizable. I tried to solve it but had to give up as it was too large and I was getting lost. apparently I may have not been able to finish it even if it weren't. It is an awesome image. She needs to make more. If she didn't check the grey check box before publishing it perhaps in the future she should do that and maybe tweak the puzzle a bit so as not get the dreaded alternate solutions, etc. messages.

I am stuck! Need hints!
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 13, 2013
Thx Norma,That was exactly what I was referring to. The image on this puzzle is so great that I don't think Michele should change it. Maybe she could make another puzzle, adhering to Kurt's advice. There was nothing wrong with Kurt giving her the advice,if I was a solver I would of too. I just think Michelle was happy with the image and doesn't really have to change it. Now she can use what Kurt told her and make great images with great solves too.:)

I think you're gonna remain stuck, Jota....I couldn't solve it, anyway...you can fill in a few more lines near the top and a few other blacks/dots as well using advanced logic, but there's too much left to keep looking. I'd like to hear hints also, if someone can manage to solve....

Can you guess who? is the title of the puzzle and he meant no guessing who the image is of. I thought the same thing when I saw what he wrote.

wow, I brought this window up a long time ago and didn`t realize so many people commented lol.

Kudos on the recognizable; now to find the balance between recognizable and solvable. I haven't been able to finish it, though I can tell who it is just by the outline of the black.

I'm an artist, and one of my strengths is portrait painting. It still took me a LONG time to get a good, solvable image in here without losing the picture I'd created. It takes a lot of practice to get the right balance, without losing the integrity of the image.

I knew this would happen. I hit "post" and it just sits there, for like an hour. I hit "post" a second time, and it spits out 2 copies.

The color gives a nice dramatic effect. I thought the color was added to make it solvable. Alas, I could not solve it, and I really tried.

Michelle, you have lots of promise. This is a beautiful image. I hope you will create more puzzles for us, hopefully ones that are solvable. :-)

This one is logically solvable without guessing. It is just a very hard puzzle.
