Puzzle Description:

This one should be a tough one as I doubt many know this song or the band. I don't know that the image is that recognizable either, but I made it so as to make some of you aware of this great band. It's probably a very easy solve as well.

too easy, too symmetrical, Al...

Liberty Bell, Mark O'Connor?

constructive with criticism, not trying to be a butthead, trust me, I prefer it when someone lets me know honestly what they think or how to be better. I don't want "greats" all the time unless they are.... you made this a "quickie" lol slam bam, thank you maam!
#3: Tom King (sgusa) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
Philadelphia Freedom, Elton John

No problem about the criticism Kurt buddy. I kind of pre-qualified that the image was poor and that it would be an easy solve. I didn't really care about those things and your right I made it quick. I just wanted the opportunity to make people aware of this wonderful band. I'll let people have a chance to guess for a bit before I reveal. Thx Kurt.:)

Good guess Sgusa buddy, but sorry that's not it.:)
#6: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
I can see the image as a thumbnail, a tabletop mirror, a rocket ship, a closeup of the end of a retractable pen or pencil; and none of those suggests the name of a band particularly. I'm being generous by putting a SPOILER tag on this comment, but I don't think that any of those are right.
#7: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
Adding to John's list, an overhead view of a toilet? An egg in a cup? Maybe a Faberge egg on a stand (the grid and dots make the design on the egg)?

No idea of the song or band.
#8: Torsten Vaquet (fantus) on Jan 13, 2013 [SPOILER]
hells bells? :D
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 13, 2013
Thx John,Joel, and Torsten. Torsten is closest with a bell. The song is " Bell Bottom Tear" by Beautiful South. If none of you are familiar with this band, you should try to look them up on you-tube.:)

Pretty obscure stuff, A...

Some of the members of this band use to be in a band called The Housemartins. They were very popular in the U.K. and somewhat popular in the U.S.A. and Canada. You might want to check out some of their music as well on you-tube. I'm sure Kristen and David are familiar with both of these bands.:)
#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 15, 2013 [SPOILER]
that i am. was trying to figure out how such a simple image could represent both the song title AND artist ;)

i've always been partial to "We Are Each Other" by them...and they do a very nice rendition of "Dream A Little Dream".
#13: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 20, 2013 [SPOILER]
I would've guessed Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells (aka the Exorcist music), even though your bell is shaped wrong for that. :)

I didn't know the song, but here's a link:
