Very good. Good use of color. B & W wouldn't have been effective.

thanks, Norma!

yeppers...for anyone who has one, they know the acetylene is always in a red canister, oxygen is green. I was in the shop at work looking at em as I ate and had 15 extra mins at lunch, so I made a quick lil puzzle

Excellent puzzle, Kurt. The image is easily recognized, and the blots made it fun to solve.

Funny! This is actually what I thought of, when I was trying to come up with a non-typical cutting tool.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for trivia and factoids. Especially after working in theatre, the magic is ruined for me anyway, so I might as well learn *how* they did things. :)

Hm, the acetylene here is in black cylinders. Oxygen in green, and non-reactive (argon or argon/co2 combo) in brown. Propane is usually in silver, but I don't think it's regulated.

The acetylene tanks here also have a different valve configuration. O2 & argon/co2 cylinders have a hand-turned valve sticking out the top, but the acetylene tanks have a full guard around the top and the valve is turned with a square key.

Here's a pic of our typical acetylene tank top: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x210/v7guy/tools/2012-10-03_11-06-09_720.jpg

I don't think you should be having lunch next to them Kurt.

I think you need to turn up the O2 before trying to cut. You need a sharp blue flame.
