I'm going to guess, based on the markings, "National Velvet." Wait, you told us the movie title in the description. Oh well. Still looks like National Velvet to me. :-)
I would have guessed Black Beauty or The Black Stallion (I think those were both made into movies). War Horse reminded me a lot of Black Beauty: horse changes hands from master to master and has many varied adventures along the way.#8: teresa dickens (trdickens2) on Jan 8, 2013
