Initial thought, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (but not multiple versions). Silver Streak (but the train was modern). Planes TRAINS and Automobiles (but no planes or automobiles). Blazing Saddles (but no remakes). Something with Jesse James...?

The original movie is fairly old, but a classic. One of the actors has received multiple awards and honors for his career and broke a few barriers in the process. A TV series was made based on one of his movies, but he did not star in it. The series was successful for several years.

I assumed it was a movie.

clue: It's impossible to show this small, but note that the two runners are connected at the wrists. The train actually appears later but is important to the plot.

Yea, Lollipop! Another ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you collection.

A friend of mine who is an old movie buff recommended Sydney Poitier and I was extremely impressed. I would highly recommend "Lilies of the Field" for anyone who has not watched it. It is his Oscar winning film and an absolute delight. The TV spin off of "In the Heat of the Night" (the 2nd movie with Tibbs) was good but not nearly as good as the original and was more about Carroll O'Connor's character. "They Call Me Mr. Tibbs" with Poitier, of course was outstanding.

I've seen all decades ago on their first runs. Maybe I'll get to the DVDs when I get back, although webpbn is definitely going to be my first stop.

They don't have computers in Florida?

This could also be a scene from O Brother, Where Art Thou? (if there were a third man attached :)
