Puzzle Description:

I saw many a magical scene like this today, when I had to go into town during a snowstorm.

The parts I've finished are beautiful, but I'm afraid I'm as bad as Tiny. I got lost in the forest on the left side.

Sorry Norma,I couldn't seem to get it solvable by logic or colour logic,I hope you peeked anyway to see the image.:)
#3: Jota (jota) on Dec 20, 2012
I haven't been able to solve the left upper part either, but I'm with the title, hoping for snow! Thanks Al!

Took a peek, then took note of a few squares to get me finished. It is magical.
#8: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Dec 21, 2012
upper left green is tricky, gotta use el in several places and iel twice. completely solvable with logic though.... great job, Al! luv it! Merry Christmas to everyone!
#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 21, 2012
I did some guessing, but I trust Kurt. Lovely image!

Thx Norma, the image is nice but it really does not do justice to the wondrous site in real life. The fresh snow on the pines and the glitter of the ice covered branches of the white birch trees, and almost every house has a wood pile, and wood being chopped, and sleds and old wagons,or farm equipment with piles of snow on them. It's the sort of images that Christmas cards are made from. Have a Merry Christmas Norma.:)

Wow! This is a beautiful image and a very fun solve. I was able to do it without peeking or guessing, but man was it ever tricky.

I like the wood chopping block, and the trees are so pretty laced with snow. I imagine inside there is a fire blazing and everyone is drinking hot cocoa while wrapping gifts.

At first I thought that was Santa's sleigh, but now I see it is a snowmobile, or a "snow machine" as they are called in some parts of Canada.

When Johnny and I went to Yellow Knife a few years ago (in February brrrrrr) to do a training on FASD, the agency ceo asked if John (who has FAS) could ride on a snow machine with her husband while I did the training. I had no idea what she was talking about, but she assured me he would be safe. He came back just thrilled that he actually got to drive the snow machine on the Ice Road. Since he doesn't drive, you can imagine how exciting that was for him. :-)

Thx Teresa,it was actually intended to be a sleigh, lol, not Santa's per se but a lot of people put old sleighs on their front property as decorations all year long.:)

Absolutely Gorgeous! I have to concur with other comments, in the sense that, the upper left portion or "the green" was definitely the most challenging part of the puzzle!!! Thx so much for creating such a beautiful conundrum!
