Thank you. Aldege. Tricky, but fun. I always missed out because I don't like peppermint.

I'm not a peppermint fan myself either. spearmint though...Pops used to grow it next to the house, make jelly, throw it in the iced tea, etc.

every time I hear the word "candy cane", I immediately think of that ate-up trucker movie nowadays. Good flick, but man is it messed-up! "Joy Ride", if you've never seen it...

'Fraid I missed that one.

Thx Norma and Kurt,I prefer spearmint, but I love peppermint also. I'm afraid I missed that movie too Kurt.

When I made this puzzle,I went to the solve puzzle and tried the helper and no pixels came up,which led me to believe this would of been a hard solve, but I guess that doesn't really mean that,or is it that you guys are just too good?,lol.:)

works out just fine, Al. I think the helper only does ll. el in c20... saw the right side with a 1 at the bottom and all 2's running up the side and 4's going mostly across the top. from experience, knew the 4 in the last column had to start at the bottom and color logic dictates where the 4's will be in each consecutive column from there. it gives you an outline to work with and the rest is mostly color logic. I'm sure it can be solved with advanced logic to start, Al. However, I took the easy route and placed the first 4 where I "knew" it'd go, rather than take the time to logically define why it did.(el does place some of it there for sure, didn't keep looking for other things after)

The Helper button only does basic line logic. This starts easily with color logic on r20 - the green 2 can only go in one place. Then it's all LL & color logic.

This is a fun challenge to do only the red first.

My favorite commercial mints are wintergreen, then spearmint, then peppermint. From the stuff growing in our yard I like the chocolate mint and the garden mint.

I didn't realize there was chocolate mint. The first thing that came to mind was the "chocolate" cow. lol
#10: Aldege Cholette (Aldege) on Dec 9, 2012
Yes Tom,they hang on the tree good, but they don't stay there very long.:)

Thx Kurt and Joe,I've just never seen that before and I thought I had a good toughie, lol.

I also didn't realize chocolate mint grew in the garden, but Niki tells me her mother has it in her garden.

Pretty, and tricky! There's also edge logic in column 1, and lots of counting to get the colors placed just right. :)

Thx Kristen.:)

That was a fun solve Aldege. No one in my family likes peppermint so I end up buying Life saver flavored ones.
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 16, 2012
Thx Carol,Lifesavers are good too. When I was a kid,we lived not too far from a Lifesaver factory. You could smell the butter rum ones, they were great.:)

Butter rum, my favorites. Yum.
