Puzzle Description:

I left the Palace still feeling a little whoozy from my spin with momma. I made my way to Neil's favourite hangout,but as I got to about 10 blocks from there I spotted the Chevy Caprice parked down a laneway. I parked the Diplomat a couple of blocks away and made my way down a path towards where the Caprice was parked. I heard what sounded like muffled moaning and walked carefully toward the sound. From a distance I could see Neil tied to a tree. I scanned the area and waited,but I saw no one,so I pulled out my gun and slowly went to Neil." Neil,are you ok?,is she nearby?..Hmmmm,hmmmm!..Neil shook his head,indicating no,which I assumed meant no she's not nearby. I went to untie him..Hmmm,hmmm." Drop your gun and put up your hands gumshoe." As I felt the gun barell stick into my back,I realized..I recognize that voice.

Yes, him. That's what I get when I rely on memory. At least I got a singer whose name begins with E!
