Adam, I'm new here - does your comment indicate that if a subject has been covered before then I should not post a similar one? I didn't see anything in the FAQs, but am keen to observe etiquette.

No way, Alasdair! Publish whatever you want, though I do recommend you solve lots of puzzles yourself, so you can see what's been done a lot, and what's fun for you to solve. A lot of people first make 8-bit video game characters (like Mario) because it's easy to turn pixels into square blocks in this format.

Alasdair, if you read the comments on other puzzles, you will see that listing other puzzles with the same subject matter is just something Adam does and is not meant to be critical. Simply stated, he is just listing other puzzles that you might be interested in looking at.
