How do you find all of these past puzzles, Adam? I gotta admit it though, I like 775 better than mine - Thanks.

I was not suggesting now (nor do I rarely ever) that they are better or worse, merely similar based on the theme.

I didn't think you were critiquing, Adam - I really do like the image and play of 775 better than mine however I like mine a little more than 10250.

I'm amazed at how you're able to index 20,000 puzzles and come up with similar themes. I've tried searching by title but that rarely gives the actual theme or image.

he's been cataloging for a long time on his own...you're not gonna find in a search. I'm glad he does..... just a guess, ofc, but only one person would know. and I'm sure he'll correct me if the guess is wrong.

yeah, you'll find "?"'s to those that are crappy, and barely can be considered the same theme. pay attention

He's never said one way or another, but I think an eidetic memory is involved. I can remember images that I've solved, but unless I can remember the title as well I have a hard time finding the puzzle I want.

Kris, it's nice that you even know what an eidetic memory is.... I have one, though I'd never brag on it cuz it's not something I did. I can't even remember all that. you know the rest. I have no doubt Adam is as sharp as a tack, and even an IQ well into genius range. forget eidetic memory though... it involves pen to paper and cataloging

honestly, the more you know, the more you have to remember when you first learned it. too many facts can get in the way... you remember even one part of one thing specifically, you can play it back and forth like a tape. but more often than not, facts roll out with little recollection unless you're forced to take the time. all in all, just be you. it doesn't make sense to say, but the more you know, the more confused you get. even an eidetic memory takes practice.

If you'd asked me 10 years ago I would've called it a photographic memory. I've been corrected enough since then to call it by a different name. :)
