I traced the plates on the SUV. It was registered to Mendoza's car rental agency,big surprise. I went to Mendoza's to try to find out who rented the SUV the night before. The lady behind the counter checked on her computer." It was a Mr. John Smith-Jones."..Your kidding me right?.."No sir I am not."..Did you get I.D.?.." Yes sir I did."..What did the guy look like?.." He wore a trench coat,a fedora,and dark sun glasses."..Let me guess,and that's how he looked on his photo I.D.?.." He didn't have photo I.D. smart guy."..Well I'm sure there's no point in asking for his address cause it's probably bogus anyway,but thank you so much for your co-operation,you've been most helpful.."Your being sarcastic now aren't you?"..Who me,well maybe just a bit. They don't call me smart Guy for nothing.

Surely it was Mr. John Smythe-Jones instead? Did he leave anything behind in the car, perhaps something with a label on it that spells C.L.U.E.? Anything distinctive have to be cleaned off the car? Odd coloured dirt, tar, leaves caught in the wipers or on the mirrors or bumpers?

LOL John,I tried to make the name as common as possible. I once worked with a guy whose name was Edward Carter-Edwards.:)

James Bond got his name from an ornithologist who published a book of birds of the West Indies. Ian Fleming used his name, because it seemed so ordinary. (A tidbit of trivia I picked up from solving an Acrostic puzzle :)
