I heard a hurricane expert the night at Sandy hit. He said this echoes the hurricane activity of the 1950s, and it'll just get worse for the northeast.

*says the girl who lives in Louisiana, but wants to get off the river SOON!

No Tom, it's me in front of the TV watching the nightly news.

Ack. Sandy. I used some Lego wedges to wedge our attic windows more securely shut. https://www.flickr.com/photos/infrapinklizzard/8136858426 Luckily the worst of the storm made a loop around us.
However we got enough of the wind to knock out the power. We were out of power for 6 days because all of our linemen were reassigned to more populous places in the state.

I'm glad the upward trend did not continue.

Wow. Glad you're back with us. And I was bitching because we lost power the other day for about an hour.
