There you go. I thought raccoon when I first started.
#4: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 8, 2012
hahahaha! you're being nice...you thought raccoon the whole way and complimented anyway. lol :) too funny!
#5: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 8, 2012
Well.......yeah. I think it's a neat wolf-coon.
#6: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Nov 8, 2012
i like ur bear series, maybe a panda next or a polar
#7: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 8, 2012
oh well....whatever anyone chooses, it looks "anhhh- ok" as either. they're pixels on a grid, matrix whatever you want.

I wonder when new episodes of "Destination Truth" come out...love that show! they're always hunting for cryptids or other paranormal stuff. Airs on ScyFy...maybe we can see em look for a wolf-coon... or Al's goateed horn-dog
#8: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 8, 2012
you musta snuck a comment on their when I was writing, T....idk, we'll see what ideas take hold. speaking of...I do gotta say current theme isn't so do-able. 20x is not conducive for any hurricane-related puzzle (unless, perhaps it's related to the drink of the same name). think about it, and put out an illegal if you can. I don't have any ideas, at any rate. your idea might give others an idea
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 8, 2012
Wonderful image Kurt,i love the wolf-coon moniker. A goateed horn-dog would make for a great show.lol.:)
#10: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 8, 2012
wouldn't it though? lol

What would you get if you crossed a wolf-coon with a horn dog?
#13: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 8, 2012
oh crap....I'd have to drink a lot of beer to come up with an answer to that! what do you think, N?

just realized...that was # 200 for me. yay me! I managed to bore y'all with 200 puzzles and no one's told me to quit yet. lol :)
#14: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Nov 8, 2012
you can keep making puzzles iffin you share those beers
#15: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 8, 2012
A horned-wolf-coon-dog? Not too sure I'd want to meet up with it what ever it was.
#16: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 8, 2012
Great puzz, Kurt! I thought raccoon, but didn't read the title.
#17: BlackCat (blackcat) on Nov 8, 2012
Great image! Fun solve.
#18: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Nov 8, 2012
You might have to give the beers to the wolf-coon and the horn dog if you want to get them to "cross". You wouldn't want to cross their path when they were cross.

I was thinking it was a raccoon for the second half of solving the puzzle. (For the first half, I kept trying to see the Eye of Sauron - I thought the title was going to be trickier than simply referring to Red's faux grandma.)

It is a good wolf picture too, though, even if a trace of coon blood from a few generations ago is showing through.

John a true horn-dog doesn't need alcohol of any kind,to cross with anything it acquaints itself with. A true horn-dog is always inspired and willing.:)
#21: Gary Webster (glwebste) on Nov 9, 2012
Dude, you're an artist. This is absolutely beautiful.
#22: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 9, 2012
hope you like Corona, Tom!

Thanks Tom, John, BC, Kadou, and Gary!

idk, kadou...but if they can write a talking candlestick into beauty and the beast, then I think we can muster a raccoon into LRRH. lol ;)

hahahaha, Al! true to form, as always...

Gary, I get just lucky sometimes. silly K is the real ar-teest
#23: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Nov 10, 2012

#27: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 11, 2012
Thank you for the uncalled-for negative comment, Tom, especially in response to a comment that was not even directed toward you.
#28: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Nov 11, 2012
wow.. I now get blame for NOT even a comment to the monkey ...geeeech
#29: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 11, 2012
ENOUGH!!! The crap is over and done with. I don't look at puzzles I've commented on to see swipes. This is BS, takes the fun out of the site, and has to stop now. Ignore those you can't get along with.

I am no moderator here, but if I were the site creator (which I have been in the past, only group creator not site creator), I would simply close the site. As group creator, I had to remain as group co-leader and moderator (although I tried to resign). This decision came over the same reasons that are rearing here.

My read of Jan's comments, on several threads, is that he has no stomach to waste his time moderating assumingly sane, intelligent adults.

Keep going on in this vein, and if I were Jan, I would simply shut it down. He doesn't need or want to be a playground monitor. That happens, we ALL lose.

I don't need any ATTABOYS or AGREES or ARGUMENTS following this post. All I want is for you to respect Jan and the site he founded and to stop bickering on the site. It demeans all who do it.
#30: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 11, 2012
thanks Joel and Teresa!

I'd thank the others, but I'm not so sure any compliment was given. instead, I'll kindly ask that BS comments pls not be directed at my puzzles/discussion. it's been a very long night, thank you very much. see y'all tomorrow
#31: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 11, 2012
Please! Remember the old adage: If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.
#32: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 11, 2012
Sorry, Kurt. Flew off the edge as I was reading follow-up comments. I'll delete it and subsequent posts if you wish.

oh hell, I gave one tom crap for another tom in a diff commentary. lol sorry...but the message remains the same, and Norma summed it up perfectly.
#35: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 11, 2012
thanks again, carol!
#36: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 12, 2012
Tom, in comment #26, for some reason decided to try and stir up trouble again. You saw my polite reply. Enough said.
#37: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 12, 2012
I know Adam...you were polite enough, and his comment wasn't even so bad. honestly, I've had enough of it though. those lil comments aren't enough to fault anyone for anything. but you both know that tensions seem to rise. so in effect, the end result remains the same. it's a turn-off. I have a few puzzles on the back-burner, for ex. I have no desire to finish or publish anything. or even to come back and pretend everything is normal. some idiotic thing makes me come see what was written in the meantime.....but until it all seems to be over, I'm done. I'm not gonna respond to anything anymore, just compliments. to ignore seems the best route. I have too many other things to worry about than watching hurt egos try to redeem themselves in some unimportant manner. let's just be ourselves...jan had a great dream of a community, and it's us that ruins it. ignore the ones we don't like. (I'm as bad as any, I know. when I hear something I disagree with, I'm first to resond. we'll not always agree. and I'll no longer respond to it)
#38: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 12, 2012
Sounds good, Kurt, but it's not you I worry about. :-)
#39: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 12, 2012
Y'know, it IS who one worries about. Stop worrying about them. For a long while, I thought you, Adam, were cold-hearted and just pointed out that I created the same theme that had been created tens of times before. I shrugged it off, and eventually found you were an awesome puzzle creator, and this is your schtick now. I thought Kadou was hypercritical about my puzzles, then he (or she) offered to help me create better puzzles.

What I worry about is nonsense and requesting Jan to moderate. I guess Norma and I have kind've stepped into that role. I do the duck's back thing pretty well if I am not invested in a creation. The biggest creation of webpbn is this site. I'd hate to see it go away.
#40: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 12, 2012
Thanks for the compliment.
#41: Tom King (sgusa) on Nov 13, 2012
Welcome ;) I hope you let it go.
#42: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 13, 2012
I would hate for ANYTHING to happen to this site. I have sat staring disbelievingly at my screen with tears streaming down my face watching the bickering unfold. I am SO hoping it's over and that the Forum will once again be used as Jan intended it.
#43: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 14, 2012
Norma, dear....relax. definitely don't cry over it. I think I know what might cheer you up. meet me someplace other than here, and I'll tell you a few things. if nothing else, you'll realize why I'm so quick to stand up for what I believe in, even if I don't even know the whole situation. I've saved so many lives that I cannot count anymore....but the fact remains, way way more people died when I thought I had more control over the situation/s. It's make-up time for me. and I'm pretty much a lost soul, the way I see it. sometimes it's good to get a lil perspective
#44: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 14, 2012
Wow, Kurt. Thank you so much. I think its obvious that many of us use this site as something of an escape. A place to loose oneself if even for a little while. But as a relatively newcomer to the Forum, I felt frustrated and at a great loss because the differences were between people who have been regulars on this site for a very long time and as I had only hearsay knowledge and did not know the full history, I could only sit and watch it unfold. I think the love you had for your father gave you a great perspective and you need to hold on to that.
#45: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 15, 2012
yeppers...

can't believe I said all that. prob shouldn't have. last night wasn't no neat and I've been recently reminded of some things. anyhoo...take care and have a great weekend, y'all

Lovely puzzle. Thanks.

Nope, there is no particular danger that I will shut this site down because of squabbles in the forums. That's just life.
