Thanks, Kurt, Aldege. I wasn't thinking of any substance in particular. Just any one will do. Even smoking. My brother-in-law was so addicted to cigarettes that the doctors concluded that if he quit it would, quite literally, cause his death.

coulda chose nonagram puzzles as the addiction....that sucks about the smoking.

got a dumb story...I taught meditation and hypnosis for many years. but really not so much anymore. obviously, I practiced a lot, back in the day. it got me access to the subconcious, and there is so so much you can do....but the adverse is true as well. it has access to you, and since I don't practice anymore, some things can be bad. when I go to "sleep" the subconcious part can and will do what it wants. no holds barred. I tried to cut down/quit smoking, so when I went to bed, I left my cigs in the kitchen. when I woke, cigs were right next to me, and 5 butts in the ashtray. just one ex...another....I had a cyst removed last Thurs...apparently, the inner part of me was annoyed by it, cuz when I "woke", I found bandage ripped off and my hand covered in blood. Subconscious me tried to claw the stitches out. F***ing scary! the last week saw me meditating again to regain control. no complications as of yet...damn, that sounds wierd!

basically, when asleep, you can sleepwalk, sleep-smoke, sleep-whatever. not cool.

Sleep studies have documented innumerable incidents such as you describe. I have often wondered (along with everyone else) if we will ever fully understand the subconscious. I wish you success with your meditation.

I understand it plenty. just gotta do the work again. people tend to get lax over time, and I'm no different. it's my bad. as for what you think you know or heard, I was....was. was. I'll not tout myself, cuz apparently I'm not so much anyone anymore. but as a fact, even years later, I receive requests and hear cases from countries around the globe every few months. if only these buttheads knew....
