Puzzle Description:

After solving about 100 Mario puzzles, I thought it would be fun to do a less pixellated version.

#1: Tom King (sgusa) on Oct 14, 2012 [SPOILER]

Looks like Burt Reynolds. Fun puzzle, Kristen!
#2: Tom King (sgusa) on Oct 14, 2012 [SPOILER]
Server timed out, dreaded double post...
#3: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Oct 14, 2012
Great solve and fun image.
#4: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Oct 14, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thanks, Tom and BC. I actually modified a photo of Tom Selleck.
#5: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Oct 14, 2012
great job! ditto BC
#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Oct 14, 2012 [SPOILER]
Knowing it was probably a "no doubt" Mario puzzle based on the title, I was wondering how you (knowing who created this puzzle) were going to do it. Nicely done.
#7: marjorie rex (mamo) on Oct 14, 2012 [SPOILER]
I thought it was Tom Selleck!! until I got to the fat nose and curved up mustache. Definitely recognized the eyes.
#8: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Oct 14, 2012
Yeah, you can see Tom S. taking shape then it changes. Great puzzle Kristen.
#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 15, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thanks, Kurt/Adam/Marjorie/Norma!

I changed his features to look more Italian, but the bones are Tom Selleck's.

The teeth weren't working, so I finished with the 2nd pose.
#10: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Oct 15, 2012
as soon as i saw the eyes , i thought tom selleck...good one kristen :)
#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 15, 2012
Could of been Burt as well, but more Tom. Could also be Francis Donato Barabichi if he dressed like a man.lol. Great one Kristen.:)
#12: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Oct 15, 2012 [SPOILER]
I saw Tom Selleck, but thought you were going to finish with Chef Boyardee.

(It's not too far off: http://www.geofffox.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/chef-boyardee-357x400.jpg )
#13: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 15, 2012
Thanks, Travis & Joe. Al, Francis would have to be extra confused if he went Drag one day and Bear the next. :)
#14: Wombat (wombatilim) on Oct 15, 2012 [SPOILER]
Thanks for this new & fresh view on Mario!
#15: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 17, 2012
series! series! series!
#16: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 17, 2012
Who else would you like to see?
#17: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 17, 2012 [SPOILER]
Was thinking that old video game characters turned hi-res is a good idea or even just better/well-rendered over-done webpbn items would be funny...but mostly i was just looking to persuade you into doing more portraits. you are fantastical at them! ...actually, right now i am wondering what a high-res space invader would look like.
#18: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 17, 2012
Ha, I think I'd better stick to humans.
#19: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Oct 17, 2012 [SPOILER]
Not Q-bert? Or the guy from Qwirk.
#20: Teresa K (fasstar) on Oct 17, 2012 [SPOILER]
That's a my kind a Mario! Nicely done, Kristen.
#21: Jota (jota) on Sep 9, 2016
Handsome!
#22: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jan 4, 2021
I love this concept. You took a completely cartoonish character and made him live-action. Very cool.
