this pic turned out horrible, nor is it very fun to solve. got excited about vacation and I wanted to try to make it. my apologies. A for effort, D for execution. ok, maybe a C minus ;)

No, it's not horrible and though a bit hard to solve it is completely solvable. As a native of Arizona I began to recognize where it was fairly early on. I think it's a pretty darn good effort.

just because you recognize it doesn't make it a good puzzle, N. and yes, I said "A for effort". if you enjoyed it, I'm glad. all I know is that I didn't like solving it. wasn't fun. and as you said, a bit hard. you do the work, and you want a better image at the end. thanks for the support though. in retrospect, I think it would have turned out much nicer and been a better solve if I only tried to do the top portion of the pic. not enough white and too many colors for the bottom half

the view from inside back of the altar is amazing also... enjoy Kurt

Good, recognizable representation. It's always hard to do justice to such a beautiful natural formation.

hope so, Tom...can't wait!

ofc, K...still almost deleted it though. I'd never get it good enough to do justice, but I think I coulda done better. I throw out puzzles too soon without working at them a bit first. oh well....

Kurt, please give yourself some credit for this one. I am very glad I saved it to finish later. This is one PBN puzzle that is 'outside' the box from the norm, and a recognizable one at that. If this is an example of the ones you want to throw out, please work them over and send our way. I would Love to do some more. Thanks
