Puzzle Description:

Kinda looks like a bird on a perch. Trying to create more completely blotted puzzles.

the blue in c-6 won't color the aquares for me
#2: Gator (gator) on Jul 30, 2012
I think you have to go to the Options and turn off the don't use colors that are already complete or whatever it is called.

^what Gator said

"When cycling cell colors, skip colors for which enough cells have already been set"
#4: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jul 30, 2012
It is amazing that you can create a solvable puzzle with all the clues blotted. Good job.
#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Jul 30, 2012
Now you just have to create one that looks like something too.

I may have fixed the bug with not being able to paint cells blue after a while.
#6: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jul 30, 2012
thx Gator]
lol Jan
#7: Gator (gator) on Jul 30, 2012
Jan - yeah, that's a lot harder than it sounds. :)

Thanks for fixing the bug.

I hate the blots!!!!!!
#9: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jul 31, 2012
Luckily, they're clearly marked with a black square, so you can avoid them.
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 31, 2012
Parrot maybe?
#11: Tara Pibel (tarap56) on Jul 31, 2012 [SPOILER]
Toucan?
#12: Ellen Vollor (evollor) on Aug 1, 2012
My colors don't match up. I have 3 blacks on the left and 4 on the top, same with the blue, 4 on the left and 2 on the top. I cannot finish this.
#13: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Aug 1, 2012 [HINT]
The blots work a bit differently. One blot replaces a number; it could be 1 or 6 or 17; any solid line of a color.

Look at the blues: a single blue blot in the rightmost column, but 3 blots in rows 4-6. The green blot above the blue blot in C6 prevents the blot in R3 from being included. Therefore, since there are no other blue clues, the blot in C6 must be a blue 3.

Nice effort, Gator. Not enthralled and it seems like it will be the flavor of the month.
#15: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Aug 2, 2012
(singing) I loooooove the blots!
#16: Jota (jota) on Aug 2, 2012
This was easy for me! I'm I weird?
#17: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Aug 2, 2012 [SPOILER]
This was my second blotted puzzle to solve. When I looked at the title (and author), I thought it would be very hard.

After looking at the clues for a minute, I realized it wasn't. I solved it KRGBW.

It is a very good depiction of a hunchback toucan.
#18: Gator (gator) on Aug 2, 2012
Yeah, I may abandon trying to create the completely blotted puzzles. Much harder to create than to solve, and what's the fun in that?
#19: Tom King (sgusa) on Aug 3, 2012
I did the old lady in the shoe, and it took me two days to solve it. I much prefer, and apreciate your 20x or 15x B&W
#20: Jota (jota) on Aug 3, 2012
There's fun in everything Gator!
#21: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Aug 3, 2012
I wouldn't mind seeing you make a few more - maybe there's a new sort of Blot-Logic out there, waiting to be discovered.
#22: Teresa K (fasstar) on Aug 5, 2012
I'm a blot fan! I enjoy the little extra twist, seems to wake up a few formerly unused brain cells. :-)
#23: Kadou (Kadou) on Aug 10, 2012
It's very hard to make a completely blotted puzzle that actually looks like something. Good Job!
But why not fit it in a 5x5 grid?
#24: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Aug 10, 2012
Gator explains that in another puzzle. The clues got crowded on his browser, so he added the extra white border.
#25: Gator (gator) on Aug 10, 2012
Yeah, you actually cannot see all of the clues in order to blot them out.
#26: Jan Wolter (jan) on Aug 11, 2012
That's in the puzzle editing mode.
#27: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Dec 26, 2020 [SPOILER]
Well, it doesn't look like a bird to me, but I did enjoy solving the puzzle.
