Puzzle Description:

Best of luck to all our Canadian athletes. We are proud of you no matter how many medals you bring home. Here one of our female gymnast sees her score from a trigger happy judge who posts it prematurely before the end of her routine,just as she's doing her dismount from the pommel horse.

Nice drawing it is, but I don't quite see her...

That's because of the way I make faces Claudia,her head is upside down,and her legs and feet are right side up ready for her landing.:)

Do your Canadian women do the pommel horse? I thought just the men did.

I don't really know Ellen,and i wondered if i ever saw any women on the pommel horse,but i thought "why not",yes it takes a lot of arm strength,but a lot of women have strong arms. I just thought i would make it a woman.:)

They do a vault off an apparatus that looks like a pommel horse. Not sure if it is. Great, great puzzle. Took a minute to see the face, but it's there.

Thx for the compliment and the clarification Norma. I know it's hard to see faces the way I make them,but i prefer the look this way instead of having a squarish outline of a face.:)

Really fun solve, Aldege. I also cannot see the face very well. Maybe because I had a hard time seeing the body position. I don't think I've ever seen a backwards dismount like this. But since she's a woman, I guess she can do anything. :-)

Thx Teresa. Men can do anything too,just not as good as a woman can,lol. No i've never seen a dismount like this either,but i tried doing it with a standard plant your landing image,but it just wasn't as visually exciting to me,so i gussied it up a bit.lol.:)

Men do the pommel horse, rings, and single high bar. Women do the vault, balance beam, and uneven parallel bars. Both do floor exercises, I think.

This could be a goofy, long-haired hippy Canadian male gymnast. :)

there are four events for the women and kristen has them right:) it's just called uneven bars though ;)
and there are six events for the men: men also do vault and you forgot parallel bars :)

When I took gymnastics, they were called uneven parallel bars. Besides, I enjoy saying "parallel" whenever possible. :)

Very creative illustration. I really am having a hard time seeing the dismount.

Whenever I can't seem to see the picture, I reduce it down by simultaneously hitting the "command" button and the "minus" button several times. When the picture is miniaturized it becomes very clear!
