I believe this is my first completely symmetrical puzzle. Luckily, it can be solved without using symmetry. :)

Sure, I can - I'd still be lying, but now it would be more obvious. :-)

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the line originally came from someone like Johnny Carson and has been around for a long time.
