Puzzle Description:

This is a formation of mammatus clouds. More details in first comment.

We had a big thunderstorm here and I saw a fabulous picture of the clouds that it came from. I've never seen clouds like that and researched what they were. Here's the link to what Wikipedia has to say: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammatus_cloud

I thought it might be a mamma python, or a mamma carp :)

I've seen clouds like that before. They're gorgeous!

once, i was driving on a long roadtrip by myself and not paying any attention to the sky and looked up at some point and the entire sky was filled with white dollops. it looked kind of like this:

...but they were all the same size and spaced very regularly and seemed to go on forever! i had to stop the car and watch for a while.

I like your puzzle, Tara. I also was wondering "Mama what???" That is so interesting. I've never seen anything like that.

I used to see clouds like this when I lived in Kansas, the darker they were, the more dangerous the weather was about to be. YIKES !
