I wasn't able to solve the right-most five columns by logic. I just had to make a guess.

Very nice image though.

Me, too, Jan- made me feel better that the Puzzle Master needs to guess sometimes! Thanks for a fun picture, Ben.

Puzzle Master? There are users here who are better at solving puzzles than I am, and there are users who are better at creating puzzles than I am. I think my main claim to fame here is as a programmer.

On the other hand, I guess Will Shortz is a noted "puzzle master," and he's neither the world's greatest creator of puzzles nor the world's greatest solver.

Okay, Robert. I did not understand your explanation (lack of concentration on my part, not intelligibility on your part, I'm sure). However, I did use it as inspiration to try to find a logical solution. I feel like I did.

Very nice final image, Ben!

I'm using my god-like HTML powers. As I said, I someday need to enable all users to do something like that. The problem is if that if I just open up HTML to everyone, then all sorts of obnoxious stuff could be embedded in forum posts (music starts playing, or you automatically get redirected to another website, and so on). I've written HTML filters before (in a different programming language so I can't easily reuse it) and it is extremely complicated to do well. Anyway, most users don't want anything like full HTML.

My head is swimming as I am reading this exchange! :D

So is mine - and I wrote most of it!! It's not easy to describe solving techniques without it sounding confusing. Reminds me of those proofs I had to study and write in high school math class - those hurt my head too.

I would find that interesting/useful as well. I almost made my own puzzle out of that part to play with. It turns out one of my steps when I solved it involved a non-logical assumption.

Thanks Ben - and I'm glad you threw them in! Now I guess I need to work on some notes for solving techniques so it can sound like more than just random thoughts.

Ben... You can change the size of a puzzle.
When you have saved it, you can write the new size and the continue edit. Just remember that if you make it smaller, it will erase on the right and in the bottom, so remember to move your puzzle up and to the left. (using the arrows)

Wow! I'm completely lost! A topic discussion would be interesting.
Nice puzzle Ben. I also appreciated your joke. :D

I know my comment is too late, but the clue said "trumpets" while it should have said "trumpet players".
