would make a good patch work quilt
>

Nancy and all the others can use it for *private* needlework.

btw.
Does Nancy *really* do patchwork?

Because Julia does some kinds of needlework...

So sorry Julia, I was unable to post comments for awhile & then when I could post comments I forgot where we were talking, thanks to nieboo posting a comment I can now reply.
It is so exciting to meet all the people from all over the world..My heritage on my dads fathers side is from Germany (he was full blood German) he came over to the USA in 1930 married my grandma who is 1/2 Hawaiian & 1/2 Portuguese..I am so glad to meet you!
#14: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 22, 2008
nieboo, do you do much cross stitching? I think that part of the reason we love paint by numbers is because it is so like cross stitch.
#15: Gypso (Gypso) on Jan 22, 2008
Makes sense Naneki. :)
#16: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 23, 2008
I do a lot of cross stitching! It's my most favorite hobby....well ever since this site though, it's been taking up my cross stitching time. My friends call me the old lady because of it. :)
#17: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
lol
#18: Tom La Sota (tomlasota) on Jan 23, 2008
I thought cross stitch patterns would be a good quick source for puzzle pictures, but I thought wrong. Nieboo is a very good stitcher.
#19: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
Alright nieboo, now that you dad complimented your cross-stitching you will have to show us some of your work, I can't share mine because they were all given out as gifts :)
#20: Tom La Sota (tomlasota) on Jan 23, 2008
I have to compliment her. Life is better for me when I do. :)
#21: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
lol..do you have any of her work?
#22: Tom La Sota (tomlasota) on Jan 23, 2008
I have a lion framed, hanging 4 feet from me. I'm still waiting for some fish pictures, but I'm low on the list of getting stuff made by her. :X I also have a nice charcoal drawing she did in college, hanging 2 feet from me.
#23: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 23, 2008
Oh my!
I give my stuff away too. I think I only have 2 of my own work. I have one for you dad, but I have to finish this stupid winter scene for my sister.
I'll put some pictures up on my myspace when I remember to do so.

#24: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 23, 2008
You sound a bit gruding about that winter scene Nieboo! I crochet and knit, and I feel the same way lately. Too many people having babies, and I have too many stupid blankets to finish! It's cutting into my pbn time (not to mention grad school time!)
#25: Gypso (Gypso) on Jan 23, 2008
Knitting has been cutting into my pbn time lately too Arduinna.
And pbn has cut into my cross stitching time too Bionerd.
How do we achieve balance? Any suggestions? :)
#26: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 23, 2008
cool, nieboo put a copy of your charcoal drawing on your myspace too
#27: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 24, 2008
My dad will have to take a picture of the charcoal drawing, although I have two of them here.

The winter scene was so much fun in the beginning, a challenge I thought, mostly different shades of white and blue. But it's been a year, and I'm tired of it and want to go on to something else. (it's big)

Arduinna, i know how you feel, that's how my sister keeps me going, I did her wedding sampler, I did both of her kids birth things, plus little art stuff for the kids. And she keeps buying me cross stitching kits for holidays for me to do for her.

Oh dear! Sorry about that guys. My internet has been soooooooooooo beyond slow lately that I've been pressing the buttons a lot out of frustration. I can't edit it because of the 404 error message. :/
#32: Deana L (FFsWife) on Jan 24, 2008
lol... I just thought you were trying to get your point across. ;)
#33: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 24, 2008
lol..me too
#34: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 24, 2008
Maybe it's the slow loading problem some of us have been having. I'm not having so much trouble today, though.

So, does your sister buy you kits to make her stuff as a present FOR YOU? That's like your husband buying you lingerie for your gift.
#35: Bionerd (nieboo) on Jan 24, 2008
yep, that's her method. diabolical really.
#36: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 24, 2008
lol ;)
#37: Gypso (Gypso) on Jan 26, 2008
Ah Arduinna, wish I had your email. I had a spiffy little response that just didn't seem right for the "family hour".
You made me laugh. :D
#38: Arduinna (arduinna) on Jan 27, 2008
Sorry, Gyps! Still planning on doing a myspace page. I've done a facebook-- most of my friends are on that.
#39: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Jan 27, 2008
arduinna..what is your facebook? I have one now!
#40: Deana L (ffswife) on Jan 27, 2008

One time there was an 18 year old show-offy frat boy (you know the type) in one of my classes who spent half the semester crocheting hats and scarves in my class. It was a bit bizarre, but I was glad he was open to different things!
