^Romeo & Juliet, from the "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo" monologue.

"Wherefore" means "why." She's wondering why he has to be Romeo of House Montague. She isn't wondering where he is. :)

Yes, Kristen, many people think wherefore means where, as in a childhood joke I love:

Juliet is on her balcony, scanning the horizon,

"Oh, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?"

"Down in the garden. The trellis broke."
