It just so happens that I occasionally come across a puzzle I don't particularly care to solve. And more than once, I've accidentally hit "backspace" right before finishing an unsaved puzzle, and I don't really want to do all that work again, so I just peek at the solution. The problem is, these puzzles still appear in the lists (either on the homepage or under "best puzzles") until I solve them. Is there a way to mark them and get them off the page?

Also, I could swear I saw somewhere a list of the criteria for a puzzle to appear under "Best Puzzles," but I cannot find it anywhere now. Linky?

Hover the mouse over the puzzle name in the puzzle list. A pop-up menu will appear. Select "Rate Puzzle". You will get a check box that says "mark puzzle as complete".

Jan, you never answered her question about a link for "Best Puzzles" criteria.

I was wondering the same thing. I can't remember which forum topic it was in. Is there an easy way in the future to do a search, in case I forget what you are about to tell me?

I don't know where that was either and I don't remember the exact criteria off the top of my head. I think a puzzle must have a unique solution and be logically solvable. The puzzles are classified into the different difficulty classes based on their difficulty ratings. All puzzles above a certain rating are listed as "best" puzzles. The minimum rating for being considered one of the "best" puzzles is lower for some of the lower difficulty classes, since people rarely give small easy puzzles very high ratings.

The information Robyn and I were looking for is in forum topic #125. It tells the different rating and difficulty criteria, plus how many people need to have rated the puzzle.
