Puzzle Description:
Fish lips at top, a tulip shadow at bottom. Bouche is French for mouth.
#1: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on May 8, 2012 [SPOILER]
Lol...enjoyed it. Thanks, Kristen. It looked like a fish swimming to the right and a squid shooting off to the left to me, so before I looked at your explanation I thought it might be "fish mouths."#2: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on May 8, 2012
Clever use of "tulips" all the way round.
Thanks :)#3: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on May 8, 2012
See puzzle 18556 for the challenge rules.#4: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on May 8, 2012
i like it..good job kristen :)#5: BlackCat (BlackCat) on May 8, 2012 [SPOILER]
Made no sense to me. I agree that it looks like a fish on top and a squid on the bottom.#6: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on May 8, 2012
A puzzle wrapped inside of a puzzle. I like it very much.#7: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on May 9, 2012
BlackCat, did you see the rules of the challenge? Take a familiar image that some folks will recognize just by looking at the pattern of clues.#8: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 9, 2012
Then, keep the same horizontal clues but shift them around so you get a new picture.
As anyone who *makes* puzzles will see, this is a VERY difficult challenge. I would encourage you to try it yourself, just to see how hard it is to get a clear, recognizable image given those constraints.
i don't see the match of rows or columns#9: Jota (jota) on May 9, 2012
Only the rows have to match Tom.#10: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 9, 2012
thx Jota... i will submit...i did columns instead, but i'm sometimes diff#11: Jota (jota) on May 9, 2012
You like it up, not sideways.#12: Teresa K (fasstar) on May 10, 2012 [SPOILER]
Nice fishie. I thought the image on the bottom was a swimmer, but I couldn't tell if it was a male or female. :-)#13: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 11, 2012
and i thought it was a fin#14: Kadou (Kadou) on May 11, 2012
Good job on a what is a much more difficult than it seems challenge.#15: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on May 12, 2012
"Les lèvres" could have been the title. It means "the lips".
Perhaps, but Bouche is much more fun to say. :)
