This show was a guilty pleasure of mine, back when it first aired. 2 men and 2 women meet on a bus for the first time, go on two short dates to see which man or woman they're most compatible with. When they're just starting to pair up and get snuggly, a 5th person is added, usually very attractive and full of "I'm God's gift" attitude. Awkwardness ensues, and the singles have to choose at the end who (if anyone) they want to see again. If their choices match, the show pays for a 2nd date. I never heard of this show. It's an interesting concept ... these sorts of psychological experiments can be uncomfortable but enlightening to watch. Certainly it's hard not to be attracted to that sort of fifth wheel even if we know we should know better.
