Puzzle Description:

....With the Sound of Music! I was going to do B, D, and F, (B Dim Chord.. my initials) but I ran out of room and didn't feel like going back, so it is just Bb and D.

This took a lot of careful work- great! Thanks.

Good thing you can leave out the fifth, and still imply the Bflat chord! My initials don't work, unfortunately. Love musical puzzles!

Very fun puzzle Ben. Thank you. ^>^

It's been a long time since I've looked at sheet music! Now I've got one of those silly memorization songs from elementary school in my head:

Four spaces- F A C E
Five lines- E G B D F
#5: Deana L (FFsWife) on Nov 19, 2007 [SPOILER]
E G B D F

Every Good Boy Does Fine. :)

LOL! Yeah, I remember that.

How about My Very Eager Mother Just Gave Us Nine Pickles-- for the planets. Do the kiddies have to just stop at Nine (nine what??) now, since Pluto is no longer a planet? :(
#7: Gypso (Gypso) on Nov 20, 2007
We used: Mary Very Easily Makes (canned- for Ceres, later dropped) Jam, S U N then Pluto (which is also dropped now).

I like yours Arduinna. Where is Saturn? :)
#8: Arduinna (arduinna) on Nov 20, 2007
ooops! She -Served- pickles, not Gave. Maybe she can just serve noodles now?

My favorite one was for remembering the order of flats - Battle Ends and Down Goes Charles' Father- and sharps - Father Charles Goes Down and Ends Battle. By far my favorite...
#10: Jamie Stringham (tassiturn) on Nov 20, 2007 [SPOILER]
Is it just me, or does it look like a B flat and an E flat?
#11: Gypso (Gypso) on Nov 20, 2007 [SPOILER]
Very cool Ben. Perhaps by the time you're finished I'll becoming (part way) musically literate. Thanks! ^O^

I don't know Tassiturn. I'm note challenged. :(

Mmmmm. Arduinna's Mom is serving noodles. ^J^

Has no one noticed that the last note is an E and not a D?
#13: Melanie Coleman (mcolemansc) on Feb 12, 2011
i agree ben- that came in handy in music theory. & yes the two notes are Bb and Eb. D would be the space note below the treble staff.

A much tougher puzzle than it looks starting out.

And the bass clef is Good Boys Do Fine Always; the spaces are All Cars Eat Gas
