Puzzle Description:

Alvin and the Chipmunks is a five-time Grammy Award-winning fictional musical group, created in 1958. The group consists of three singing chipmunks: Alvin,(show above) the mischievous troublemaker, who quickly became the star of the group, Simon, the tall bespectacled intellectual, and Theodore, the chubby, impressionable sweetheart. The trio is "managed" by their human "father" and confidant, David Seville. People often assume the characters started as cartoons and branched out into music, but that is the opposite of how they began. After first being brought to life in Bagdasarian's 1950s novelty recordings under the name David Seville and the Chipmunks, the characters were an unprecedented success, and the singing Chipmunks and their manager were given life in several animated cartoon series and motion pictures.

I made a mistake my first attempt, but was able to get to the correct solution without restarting. My second attempt, I used the helper to speed the process and was able to get to the solution logically. Very nice puzzle that made me stop and think at several points.

Wow, Naneki, I thought this was going to be from the Jetsons, the one where Leroy accidently enters his song lyrics in the music contest in Judy's name and wins the contest and gets to meet the big spacerock and roll star. The title of your puzzle is similar to the one on the Jetsons, to the best of my poor memory. I'd say correct me if I'm wrong, but if even a poor worm gets nailed on the grammer in his phontic thought transcription, well, I'm toast!

the title of this puzzle comes from the first song David Seville & the chipmunks ever recorded, the chipmunks did the chorus.

I was always surprised at how much mileage they got out of that chipmunk gimmick which was probably just doubling the tape speed back in those days. The novelty wore off on me quickly. I felt 'too old for it' even when I was the right age for it. Another one like that for me was the Garfield comics. I was never young enough, nor old enough to think that was funny.

I do love that Jetsons episode mentioned in #2. The envelopes got switched between Elroy's secret code and Judy's song contest entry, and the secret code won the song contest.
