This is a close up of a hood scoop of a Hemi Cuda. A Cuda with a 426 cu.in. Hemi engine was one of if not the most powerful cars at the dragstrip.

I had a plain '73 Barracuda with a 318 (first car). That was the year they started putting emissions on them, but a V8 in that lightweight car could still move. I was always envious of the 340 6-packs. Thanks for the puzzle, Aldege.

Thx Tom,if your 318 felt quick, can you imagine that car with a 426 Hemi with 2 4barrell carbs,or a 440 6-pack? I have a friend who currently has a 70 Duster with a 340 6-pack,because the 340 weighs less, the power to weight ratio makes it almost as fast as the Hemi or 440.

I was watching "That's Worth What?" or something like that. Anyway, the contestants had to guess which was worth more. A convertible Hemi 'Cuda or Miss America's Tiara. There were 12 of those cars made. The one on the show was worth $2.5 mil.

Wow that's crazy money.

Those limited production cars are worth incredible amounts. SuperBee, Duster 440, lots of Chevys and Fords, too.

Yes I know,I've seen them sell on Barrette-Jackson auctions for huge sums, more so in the past 3-5 yrs,but the market has changed and you can get them at bargain prices now, around 500k to 1 million $ only, lol. I would love to have a Hemi Dart or Coronet,or Satelite.:)

You mentioned Duster would that be made by Plymouth? My Dad who was born in 1914 bought only Fords until the 60's , he got a lemon then and immediately switch to Pontiac and then he got a 70 Duster and became the envy of the neighborhood until now I didn't know why. Thanks Aldege

Thx Nancy, yes it's a Plymouth and yes it's a super cool car in my opinion. I've had 2 Plymouths,a 62 Savoy and a 68 Valiant and they were both cool cars even though they only had slant 6's and 3 speed column shifters, they were quick and a lot of fun.:)
