Really, I know that Los Alamos is close to Albuqerque, it has a big U. S. nuclear laboratory there, I live close to the one in Hanford, WA, I figured they got it from their close proximity to that. Thanks for the research and comments everybody!

Sorry, but disagreeing with Paul here. It seems there is guessing needed in various places, or cases of deep lookahead. I broke the puzzle into four pieces (each colour) and I was not able to make any progress on three; black and red don't start at all while green has a bunch of zeros built-in, but no actual filling without edging.

I'll take another look at this when I get around to printing out exported versions of these to try (various logos, not just this one) and see if I can crack it then, but for now I'm going to say this isn't solvable without guessing. A printout attempt may change my mind once I see everything lined up.
