want to know how unobservant i am? this is the first puzzle that i've created since reading the "Advice on Creating Puzzles":

- i never noticed that the check button indicates more than just unique solution or not.

- i had never noticed the arrow buttons (didn't use it on this puzzle, but that would have been SO helpful on other puzzles)

- i had never noticed the helper button (HOLY COW!)

there have been puzzles in the past that just took so long to test each iteration for solvability that they ended up much more difficult than i was wanting, but i didn't have the patience to develop further. this puzzle, for instance, would definitely NOT have LLS if not for this...too many iterations that came down to the very end of the solve.

Two comments:

First of all, I love this puzzle. The solve was enjoyable, and the image just kind of popped at the end. I love it when that happens. :-)

Second, now that you have found all the cool gimmicks that Jan programmed for us, I hope that we will be seeing more puzzles from you.

I did just post another one...with a very old puzzle number. i was using the helper to attempt to finish a very involved puzzle that had been sitting in my saved ones for a long time. with the helper's help i monkeyed with it for quite a while before finally giving up, re-sizing and drawing out a new idea entirely ;)
