I can't recall the big-headed canary ever referred to as a boy or girl, but I always assumed he was a boy. His voice actor was male, and Tweety always sounded like a little boy. I don't hear a girl's voice when he talks.

Internet says Tweety is a he. Original name was Orsen. Plus Grandma always says "you boys". In one cartoon Sly dressed his finger up as a little girl bird to lure Tweety out of his cage.

I agree. Tweety was always a boy, until Wal-Mart (or some other company) decided to market Tweety on girls' clothing.

Even when he was marketed to girls, I still thought he was a boy! Heh. I always thought it was a dumb idea because I remembered when I was a kid, girl characters appealed to me and I never cared for guy characters. Plus they were giving Tweety this "tough girl" attitude that was just all over wrong. :P
